Preheat your oven to 400 F and place a baking sheet or a rimmed tray in the oven to heat up as well.
Remove the frozen burger patties from their packaging. Lightly brush each side of the patties with oil to prevent sticking. Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides for added flavor.
Once the oven is preheated, carefully take out the hot baking sheet. Place the seasoned, oiled patties on the sheet.
Bake for 20 - 25 minutes, flipping halfway through. The internal temperature should reach 160F when it’s fully cooked.
In the last 2 minutes of baking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Return the patties to the oven and let the cheese melt.
While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns for 3 to 5 minutes in the oven, or until they’re lightly golden
Place each cooked patty with melted cheese onto the bottom half of a toasted bun. Add your preferred toppings like a slice of tomato, a leaf of lettuce, and a few rings of red onion.
Place the top bun over the assembled burger and serve it immediately.
