Easy Seafood Salad Recipe with Shrimp and Crab
Ingredients
- 8 oz imitation crab meat flaked or sliced sticks
- 8 oz raw shrimp 51–60 count
- 1 lemon quartered
- 1/2 cup celery finely chopped
- 3 tbsp red onion minced
- 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1.5 tbsp fresh dill chopped, plus extra for topping
Instructions
- Step 1: Boil water with lemon
- Fill a pot with salted water and drop in the lemon quarters. Bring it to a boil.
- Step 2: Cook the shrimp
- Add shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes, just until they turn pink and firm. Immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water to cool down fast.
- Step 3: Dry the shrimp
- Once chilled, drain the shrimp and gently pat them dry with paper towels.
- Step 4: Mix everything
- In a large bowl, add shrimp, imitation crab, celery, red onion, Old Bay, lemon juice, salt, pepper, mayonnaise, and dill. Stir gently until well coated.
- Step 5: Chill or serve
- Top with a little more dill and enjoy right away, or cover and chill in the fridge for up to 2 days.
