Equipment

  • Large Pot
  • Stirring Spoon
  • Serving Bowl
  • Cutting board
  • Knife

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 5 Garlic Cloves
  • cup Onion
  • cup Carrots
  • cup Celery
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth
  • 5 ounces Chicken Breast
  • 5 ounces Egg Noodles
  • ¼ tsp Dried Oregano
  • 2 Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 1 tbsp Kosher Salt
  • 2 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  • Take a large pot and put the butter inside. Turn on the flame and set it at medium heat. Keep tossing the butter around with a stirring spoon until it completely melts.
  • After melting the butter, add the veggies into the pot. Toss the celery, carrots, and onions, with a little bit of salt to the pot. Cook the vegetables until they are tender. You will know when the smell comes out.
  • When veggies are tender, now is the time to pour the bone broth. Pour the broth gradually and keep stirring the whole time.
  • Before simmering the broth, add the cut chicken pieces to the pan. You can directly use uncooked chicken pieces, as they will eventually get cooked when the broth is brought to a boil. But if you want, you can also cook your chicken beforehand, or use leftovers to save some time.
  • Right after adding the chicken, you can add the egg noodles to the pot. It will take a bit of time to cook the chicken and noodles. So they should be added one after another.
  • At the same time, add the condiments; oregano and basil leaves. Now is the perfect time for these to spread their flavor to the broth.
  • When all the necessary items are added, bring the broth to a boil. Simmer for about 20 minutes until all the flavors are combined. Keep the flame at low heat and wait for a nice savory aroma.
  • Your bone broth chicken noodle soup is ready! Serve when it’s still hot in serving bowls. Gather together and enjoy it warm!
